This has always been very popular. It has plenty of lively fruit, 
is uncomplicated and just a very good drink.

A clean style of Chardonnay that is a very easy drink, with or without food.

This is a real hit, beautifully balanced wine that is not too ‘Merloty’. It certainly figures as one of the best value French Country reds on the list with its richness and balance.

Great freshness and drinkability are the hallmarks of this excellent Cotes du Rhone White. Light to medium bodied, this white can be used at any time.

This is made by the Sichel family (who own d'Angludet) and is medium bodied from the excellent vintage of 2019 and is just starting to drink really well now but will keep for a few years.

Medium to full bodied with lovely roundness throughout.

Deep, rich nose – full of potential. Then a perfectly delicious first taste. 
Very appealing throughout but with quite a bit of firmness mid-palate 
to give the wine some structure.

The 2016’s are starting to get more difficult to find and so we are thrilled to have this 2016 Cissac, which will develop over the next 10 years. A big wine, with good structure and lovely warm vibrancy throughout.

This is the second wine of Potensac, from the popular vintage of 2016, it has all the hallmarks of this Chateau. Vibrant fruit and well rounded tannins with excellent freshness on the finish.

From one of the most underestimated parts of Bordeaux that produce fabulous, full, rich and smooth wines and this is no exception.

Even in an unheralded year like 2013 Batailley makes uncompromisingly good wine.

We only have a few cases of this Reserve wine from Lafite. It is just starting to drink and will go on for sometime yet. A very typical Pauillac with great structure and resonance.

This Macon is completely unoaked, with good freshness and elegance.

The new vintage of this magnificently popular White Burgundy has now arrived and I think is even better than the last one. Unfortunately it also has gone up in price mainly due to the shortages of stock in Burgundy over the last two years.

From the same vineyard as Macon Uchizy, this is a notch above that delightful wine. 
It has more weight and complexity and is outstanding value.

A more masculine style of Beaujolais that can sometimes be mistaken for Burgundy.

Lovely fresh citrus style nose with good generous undertones. Easy fresh first taste that lengthens out into a really quality styled wine. This is delicious and at half the price of some of its Burgundian neighbours.

Well balanced, light luscious and full of red berry fruit.

This is a top Beaujolais that is a delight to have with all light styled meat dishes or on its own.

We were going to stop having this wine because it had become so expensive – but Latour realised they had priced themselves out of the market and this has now come down to a sensible level.. Still quite expensive, but always reliable, consistent in style and a pleasure to drink.

This has delighted everyone who has had it. Truly excellent Morgon that is Burgundian in style a real summer delight.

Exceptionally good Burgundy at this price. Wonderful first taste with delicious layers of fruit and arresting tastes throughout.

This comes from the Nuits-Saint-Georges area in Burgundy and has all the hallmarks of that fine wine and I think is a real bargain at this price.

Elegant, yet firm tasting Burgundy with a long satisfying finish.

From one of the best modern vintages in Burgundy, this Beaune is exceptional, beautifully made by Jean-Pierre Confuron. Has all the underlying power and taste of its terrior that you would expect.

Chante CigaleRobust, with plenty of fruit and warm spice flavours, this supple red punches well above its Vin de France classification.

A blend of Marsanne/Rousanne with a touch of Chardonnay and Colombard making it smooth and streamlined and is highly recommended in this range.

Good forward lemony nose leading to a fresh smooth Sauvignon taste with a bit of length.

Predominately Merlot with a little Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot 
which just tweaks it into shape.

This French Country white which drinks like a good quality Macon, is a fantastically good value alternative for White Burgundy.

Attractive, fresh, zesty nose with a very easy first taste. 
A touch of ‘apple’ with the Chenin Blanc and a ‘not too dry’ style of finish.

We are delighted to have this very classy Loire Sauvignon back on the list. For those who want a change in their everyday drinking white wine – do try this.

This is a demi-sec Vouvray with lovely roundness of style and ease of drinking.

Hubert BrouchardThis takes over from the Langlois - Chateau Sancerre. It is almost exactly the same as they are next door neighbours and use the same grapes.

Lovely, full bodied yet beautifully balanced Pouilly Fume with delightful honeyed notes towards the end. This we can thoroughly recommend for the smartest of occasions!

Chante CigaleA blend of piquopoul, viogner and grenache blanc, this is unoaked and easy drinking but full of flavour with a bit of weight to make you aware of its power. Excellent value.

This is outstanding entry level Rhone wine, beautifully balanced with well integrated tannins and unbeatable at this price.

Quite a silent nose, but immediately warm and approachable, with notes of brambly fruit evident on first taste. Good easy drinking but with definite tannins obvious in aftertaste. An excellent wine for strong tasting pasta/rice dishes.

Always reliable, this attractive full bodied Rhone wine has plenty of fruit, a touch of spice and is beautifully balanced.

Beautifully made Rhone wine with a bit of power and complexity.
