Frascati Superior 2002006
San Matteo (6) £4.59 £27.54
Sound, full flavoured, yet zingy Frascati –
an excellent quaffing wine.
Organic Sollatio Blanco (IGT) £4.76 £57.12
Fresh and crisp, with a nice touch of fruit this is a
good house wine.
Danzante Pinot Grigio 2005/2006 (6) £8.49 £50.94
This wine is much richer in style than you would normally
associate with a typical Pinot Grigio but still has that lovely
fresh grapey flavour. Excellent.
RED
Palazzi Negro Amaro 2006 (6) £4.09 £24.54
Another not to be missed, keenly priced Italian wine.
Fruit, style and drinkability make it worth tasting.
Organic Sollatio Rosso (IGT) £4.76 £57.12
Medium bodied and eminently drinkable, this is a great indoor
and outdoor lunchtime wine.
Primario, II Meridione 2001/2002
Barrel aged Negroamaro (6) £5.99 £35.94
A good example of Italian wine made from the Negroamaro
grape, with an earthy minerality mid palate it lengthens out
at the finish.
Villa La Pagliaia
Both of these Chiantis are made in the traditional style of this
wine giving them brambly cherry fruit flavours and excellent tannins
for support. The Riserva with its extra layer of flavour is certainly
an exciting prospect.
Chianti Classico 2004 (12) £7.49 £89.88
Chianti Classico Riserva 2003 (6) £9.50 £57.00
Fattoria Poppiopiano 2004 £8.75 £105.00
Chianti Classico
Lovely warm vibrant fruit is there with a more serious and
aristocratic structure than is seen in the more rustic Chiantis.
Poderi Colla, Piemonte 2001/2003
